Whereby a food is considered to be a good source of protein if the number of calories does not exceed 10 X the number of grams of protein. I think I worded that right. Is my kids, who are now full grown adults, do not drink soda of any kind. I can’t really take credit though because they never liked it. It wasn’t because we were super restrictive. I'd hate to be a kid coming out of HS the next year or two with the 5y eligibility rule that just hit. Scholarships didn't expand but older kids already in place get an extra year.....going to make it extra hard for juniors and seniors in HS to land a spot at any level in college for a couple of years.

Thankfully a couple of his former private coaches are very tied in to a bunch of programs. I'm hoping they could make a couple of calls for him.

One of them is at USC. While my kid is not high D1 material, a phone call from that coach to a lesser program will go a long way, I'm sure.

We think low D1 is realistic. Not guaranteed. Just possible. If he ups his mph's in the next year, he'll turn heads.

grew about an inch in the last 6 months. i think he can get to 6'2" if he's lucky. Not idea height. I always wished he could be 6'4". Oh well.

84 mph now with a lot of movement. Very good control. His K/BB ratio isn't great only because the lack of high velo cuts down his strike outs. He doesn't walk a lot of kids but when you k 4 and walk 2 in 7 innings...

He's been working out a ton and i've been pushing mega doses of protein on him. I don't push him on anything else. He's strong but very lean. Need bulk. He's what we call country strong. You know?

A man is due in court Thursday on hate crime charges, after a burning cross was found in Grant Park.

Merlin Lu is facing several charges including arson and committing a hate crime.

The 21-year-old was arrested at his home after a burning wooden cross was found in Grant Park. A passerby captured video of the incident on June 9.

The burning cross is widely considered to be a symbol of racist hatred.

The investigation involved the Chicago Police Major Crimes Division, Illinois State Police, U.S. Marshals, and the FBI.

Investigators released a picture of a suspect allegedly leaving the area near Columbus and Balbo.

Father Michael Pfleger of St. Sabina Church had offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to a suspect.

Lu will face a judge later Thursday. It's unclear if Lu may eventually face federal charges.
