During the short time I had Disney+, I watched the first Mandalorian season and found it uninteresting. I'll pass on this.

My son says Andor is worth watching. Maybe some day.

I give it 3.75 illies out of 5.

It entertained me. It had some nice throwbacks to the original trilogy, and it showed the maturation of Grogu into a force user.

Yes, as authorized by the family of Mario Puzo, who died in 1999. The Family (get it?) suddenly realized that Mario wanted The Godfather to echo the life of his own mother. So Connie becomes a heroine in this newest novel.

Yep yep. For me, after Covid, movies really never came back.

Not sure I've seen as many as TWO movies in a theater per year since say... 2021 or so.

Perhaps not all due to Covid breaking the chain, but I still argue it had a big part. But eh... times change I guess.

property owners: channel flooding. Star Wars was special because it was scarce. Same with the college football regular season, which has been diluted by the playoff and is subject to further dilution. NASCAR being mainly in the South. LV bags. Dior clothes.

When you are making big money and then you juice supply it will work extremely well in the very short run, but eventually it dilutes the core brand because scarcity is what made the underlying business so successful.

Every brand is doing this as demographic collapse and changing consumer tastes have stalled the parabolic growth era of the past.
