I’m seeing a lot of chatter about labor shortages and we need to cut social security and open the borders and get used to being poorer.
To which I want to say fuck off liars.
There is no shortage of workers in this country. Only a shortage of the desired workers. Welders for $15/hr. Lawyers who will arrive with a fat book of business. Care workers who will spend 24/7 with crusty old womyn.
I’d like to propose a couple laws: 1. You can’t advertise a job opening without a real job opening; 2. All job openings have to come with a salary range and benefits disclosed;
I also think we need UBI, $1000 for everyone. We also need higher inheritance tax collection, via lower thresholds.
We can have a great future if we use technology and a free and HONEST market. This includes peace, which means cracking down on the violent assholes like Iran. Enough is enough.
And, yes, I plan on working until the day I die.
I own a business and our lowest paid person cleared 6 figures in 2025. If you're so
broke ass that you can't pay more than $15 an hour for a god damned welder then you are either a shit tier operator or shit tier human being.
