I’m hoping our depth and superior bigs get them in foul trouble before they get us in foul trouble. Brad’s teams always add way more offense as the season goes on and we’re playing so much better defense now- I think we beat UConn unless we go 7 for 30 (which we won’t do if we only shoot 20).

Michigan is still going to be trouble. I’m thrilled as is already, second would be great, first I just can’t even hope.

We may be Top 10. So every year we should have a team in top 3 seeds if coaching and development and talent identification keep up like the seemingly have this year. And we hopefully won’t lose our best two defenders to injury at the same time very often- consider the jobs Stoyavich and Boswell have done on other teams’ top scorers when they were in, with the exception of Boyd and Blackwell (Kylan foul trouble?) Figure an average of 2.5, that works out to about a 15%, or once every 7 years. I don’t see us figuring out how to keep first draft picks, but hopefully winning sets us up to keep the rest of the top 6 or 7. Between Mirk, Stoy, and Murillo I think we have creators for next year, either Ivisics become better shooters (not convinced that will happen) or we bring in another good 3 and D guy. Ty seems a wild card. Then we need to recruit another top B1G for when the twins leave- any ideas there?

My wife always uses not watching to get things turned around.

We started watching the game on my phone on the patio. After the horrible start we turned it off and I focused on getting the grill ready. It worked. Things settled down. :-)

During this run I haven't been wearing anything Illini during the games. I'm not starting now.

Back in the '89 season I had a reversible orange/blue basketball jersey that every time I wore it with the orange side out they won. I can't remember which game it was, but it was horribly frustrating and I kept reversing it from orange to blue with no change. They lost and I never wore it again.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that believes things like that matter in the outcome of the delayed broadcast that I am watching or listening to.
