i bought this back in the 90s when online auctions were just starting to become a thing. pre ebay i think or when ebay 1st started and was really an auction. think i paid 300 or so. it and the few other 300 limited edition signed 16x20s list between 5 and 10k now. doubt i could really sell it for much more than half that

I think a i have a few things that might have some value but I certainly don't want to get rid of them.

My Run DMC records have gotten more play in the last week than the previous 20 years…because my son decided he is obsessed with Hip Hop so I said he’s gotta start with some history.

Much to my lack of surprise, he loves Run DMC.

I know how this will sound but please just take it on face value. It's even more fun when saying it to black kids. It blows their minds. Because older black dudes just laugh and nod their heads. Like "yup, whitey is right on this one."

I'm not certain anything is truly valuable. Maybe a few thousand dollars in the aggregate. I have a William Perry signed football jersey. I have a Jordan game worn jersey that isn't signed.

I have the complete 1977 Topps baseball set which my dad bought for me. But I played with it a lot as a kid and then like a fool, I sold the Nolan Ryan card for a measly $15 or so in the 90s.

While in law school, I bought several sealed baseball card sets including the 1989 Upper Deck set. Paid $50 for it. Last time I looked, it sells for less than that. Mine is still sealed.

There probably was a letter of authenticity at one time but if so, it was long ago misplaced. The jersey is in a very nice frame. It's a cool piece of memorabilia but probably nothing more than that.

myself and that would probably be my most valuable sports memorabilia. It's maybe worth $100 with a chunk of the value likely tied to the Andre Dawson rookie card. But the Pete LaCock and Dick Pole cards give the set tremendous sentimental value.

I tried to have a custom LaCock jersey made but the company that prints them refused and customer service was worthless when I showed them it was a real player on the Cubs.
