As such I thought he lessened the odds of WWIII breaking out.

Never thought he’d sell out to the Neocons. I think they have him compromised. I guess it’s possible they have him sealed off from reality. Tucker said Trump thinks the polls are 90% in favor of war. I think it’s closer to 20%.

I think this could collapse our currency and economy completely. I’ll be interested in how markets open tomorrow night and Monday morning.

I’m thinking about picking up a gun and some ammo. Might be too late to sell my house and get one in the country.

a remedy. It's just now that the US has quantum leaped the third world in technology to the point where they can easily pull off these killings with minimal exertion of force. The US has used covert operations for decades against enemy states and I would argue that the use of this decapitation strategy is far less insidious than getting the Army field manual and CIA playbook on psyops ran on the populace for 2+ decades.

Xi is safe because China can pose credible and material risk to the United States. No other country on earth can at this point, but that makes it somewhat possible for China to try to gather a consortium of its own client states. The guys who wrote the playbook didn't foresee the capital base that China has amassed and figured it would always be something like the USSR that we were bickering with.

they produce about 5M barrels per day but use 16M
They do have lots of coal. One reason they lean into it so hard. Lack of oil is one reason they have tried to electrify so much, and use renewables (hydro, wind and sola) But oil and gas are hard to get away from. Lots of energy in those barrels and they store well, and transport well ect
