Yep, Jesse led off the WGN News at 4:00 today AGAIN.

Once they got to the message of condolences from Prince Charles in Britain, I had to turn it off.

Bonus Jesse Jackson coverage from WGN Sports; I often watch their half-hour of Chicago Sports at 10:30 pm. Get Illini coverage, MLB's video of Sox camp which is soooooo far away from their reporter permanently standing in Cubs camp in Arizona; and yesterday I was treated to the ending story about yes, Jesse Jackson. Apparently he baptized Walter Payton's son Jarrett, and Jarrett had his own son on the field for Jackson appearing at Wrigley.... :-0

Center: the guy's name is Jeff Fort. Still alive today at age 78. You can write to him at the Supermax prison in Colorado. Probably been behind bars most of the time since he was say, age 30. Founded the Blackstone Rangers, which morphed into the Black P Stone Nation, which morphed into the El Rukn religion. (Huh, can't get electronic survilance in a church: who knew?) Still in jail for cooperating with Mohamar Quaddafi to bring terrorism to the US.

On the right, the leader of the Cobras street gang named Mickey; he's the reason they were known as the Mickey Cobras. Dead by age 30 or so, some would say killed by the orders of Jeff Fort.

(Picture itself is undated, but earlier than say 1971 which was the last time both of the guys on the right were both outside jail and alive.)

The Post cut its obituary staff. I wonder what they will do going forward as they run out of obits in the can. Associated Press?

The Post had some fantastic obit writers. The one on Jesse is very good, highlighting good and bad in a way that seemed very fair and extensive.

Correct. For more than a year, when you'd see him appearing in public, looked like he had a stroke.

The diagnosis was something else entirely, but the effects on him/family were similar. Couldn't speak, walk... and whatever else.
