From his bio on Ballotpedia: Neil Khot earned a high school diploma from MVMS High School and a bachelor's degree from the KLS Gogte Institute of Technology in 1996. His career experience includes working as a small business owner.

I was born in a small town in India and was raised by a single mother. In my 20s, I moved to America with 300 dollars and a dream of being able to start my own business. Now, I am proud to have my own business with over 200 employees in the 8th district and beyond. I am running for Congress, not as a career politician, but as an outsider who will bring fresh ideas to Washington.

So, no other experience in politics at all: IL State Legislature, city trustee, library board, precinct captain,-nothing. But, ready for Washington because he HATES HATES HATES Trump.

But what happens when Trump is gone? Ideas win. Not running against Trump. If running against Trump really worked, President Kah-mah-lah.

FWLIW: he's not winning. Former congresswoman Melissa Bean will win that seat.

Again FWIW: she won the seat before almost by accident (per Wiki): had some experience as a Dem party operative, name was on the ballot because they needed someone to run against a longtime GOP guy.
