personally i checked out of theatrical releases 15+ years ago. but the entire experience of a movie requires a suspension of disbelief that is dead on arrival with this casting. but for your word "actress" in the subject, id have assumed this was an adolescent male. disturbing.

very few hollywood movies interest me anymore. There are exceptions. I catch them on streaming as mostly they are not worth going to a theater for. The last movies I have seen in the theater in this order

1. The Housemaid (the wife dragged me. even Sydney's golden globes didn't save it for me)
2. The Naked Gun. I enjoyed it.
3. Barbie (the wife dragged me.)
4. Top Gun II

sometimes it's not. Yes, they have made some re-casts with black actors for white people but it was dumb. But sometimes you have to keep the person the same color. Not always.
