There are so many political pages run by individuals which seem to exist for no reason other than eliciting either mindless cheerleading or angry responses. And more than a few sides which are equal opportunity antagonists when it comes to poking the political animals with sticks. Are people making money with this shitposting?

attempting to monetize and he gets paid a tiny fraction of a penny for every view his videos get. He has about 15 songs as well and his real goal is for one of those to get picked up as some sort of shit post sound track, if you get a certain number of seconds of the song played and it gets remotely popular it can be pretty lucrative. Dude is loaded otherwise and is doing it as a creative outlet, but he knows a shitload about it. Getting popular is insanely hard and he refuses to allow me to take it over and turn it into a rage bait outlet in the conservative angersphere, which is how he could monetize it more expeditiously.

to pay for top tier "creators" to help make their platform sticky. But the other revenue channel is for promotions, they want to show massive numbers of followers and engagement and then use that to get a deal from some grifter company.
