I swear to God there was a Cherry 7-Up commercial back in the 80s featuring "Rock On" (either by David Essex or Michael Damian) but I can't find any evidence that this ever existed. I remember it being highly stylized and things were turning pink in the video. I have found this video featuring future Friend Joey Fatone
Anyone remember this at all? Anyone think this sounds familiar or remember something it?

I have a pretty good mass culture memory of that era and do not recall that
song appearing in a Cherry 7-Up commercial. The re-release of Rock On was after the huge initial marketing push of Cherry 7-Up and IIRC the marketing spend on the product seemed to drop pretty precipitously by 1989 or 1990. The pink in the B&W commercial is a helluva throwback, though.
