before, leftists deeming some special place that effectively needs to function as a "base" from ICE, as if they're trying to create a set of rules for a game of tag.
Back in 2006 a woman took refuge in a Chicago church and leftists claimed that her mere presence in a church rendered her incapable of being deported. Let me refresh your recollection: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elvira_Arellano

If that’s the policy, where do these dumbfucks think criminals are going to run to?
Especially the armed and dangerous ones.
Fucking shoot these people before they get inside.

Not a lot of updates over say, the last 18-24 hours.
JMHO, but I'd say there would be more OUTRAGE from the usual suspects if the story so far was totally slanted against this innocent daycare worker, subject to persecution in Colombia who (I'm sure) somehow walked all the way to Chicago where she's yet again a victim of even more persecution because of.... (victimhood descriptions go here).
------------------------------------------
A Department of Homeland Security spokesperson said on X that ICE did not target the daycare, but tried to conduct a traffic stop of a female undocumented immigrant from Colombia.
DHS spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin said agents tried to stop the car, which was registered to the woman, with their sirens and emergency lights activated, but a male driver "refused to pull the vehicle over."
She said ICE pursued the car before the driver "sped into a shopping plaza where he and the female passenger fled the vehicle. They ran into a daycare and attempted to barricade themselves inside the daycare - recklessly endangering the children inside."
McLaughlin said the woman was arrested inside a vestibule, not in the school. She also claimed the woman "lied about her identity," but didn't specify how.
She said "facts including criminality and information on the male assailant are forthcoming."
FWIW: the strip mall where the daycare is located is literally across a chain link fence from the parking lot for WGN TV's studios. It's therefore across the street from Lane Tech, and also maybe two miles from Wrigley.
(Edited to change the spelling of the country's name from Columbia to Colombia. Too many Three Stooges episodes I guess.)
