Just learned that one of my h.s. classmates died a few days ago from a cardiac event.

I do not know any details but it sounds as though it was very sudden and completely unexpected. 57 years old. Leaves behind a wife and 2 children.

I didn't know him very well. We didn't run in the same circles in school and I have not seen him since we graduated. But he was a FB friend and I recall him being a very low key, affable, easy to get along with kind of guy.

I think this is now the 5th or 6th h.s. classmate who has died. Out of a class of approximately 145.

Guns. Have them.

It's my understanding that there were a few "whereabouts unknown" by age 30 or so, but no real evidence either way.

down 11 people already. My town up in northwest Iowa is even worse, ODs and suicides have just eviscerated the population up there.
