Go over the website, Unusual Whales, and take a gander at how frequently some congressional members (on both sides of the aisle), engage in stock trades. As Congressman Burchett asserts in the interview, there is no doubt whatsoever that they they are doing so taking advantage of insider information. As an example, he cites a bunch of congressman investing heavily in companies which manufacture missiles for our armed services, after learning that the U.S. planned to ship over someo of existing stocks to Ukraine (knowing the U.S. would have to quickly replenish stocks).

I mean, the more senile octogenarians like Sanders(84) and Pelosi(85) the better!

Just as our founding fathers would have wanted, our Congress and Senate is a de facto nursing home.

As to your insider trading point, the only reasonable policy is that all Federally elected officials must either A) hold their existing portfolio with no buys or sells during the entirety of their term or B) be limited to investing only in the S&P 500 funds or T-Bills....no exceptions.

Something like that. Or contribute all you want to mutual funds run by third parties.*
