Let’s talk about Autism

The incidence has clearly increased, to 1 in 12 boys. Used to be 1 in 1000s. Testing accounts for maybe half of the increase. Genes likely haven’t evolved to cause it. So what else?

Trump says Tylenol is to blame. There are a couple mechanisms that could lead from Tylenol use to autism, but the data is quite clear Tylenol doesn’t “cause” autism. There just isn’t a link in the data…

And yet, one study did show a correlation. And the issue isn’t does Tylenol CAUSE Autism, rather, does/can it increase the risk? Clearly based on mechanisms, it can. And are there other substances that can do the same? Vitamin deficiency is another suspect.

But here’s my bottom line: Libs crowing about Tylenol not CAUSING autism are retarded. It’s like proclaiming driving 100mph doesn’t CAUSE accidents. Lots of people drive 100 without crashing. Yet there are mechanisms- traction, force, reflex time, etc. that make it obvious it increases the risk.

So… same thing with Tylenol, or no?

and it seems crazy we can’t figure out what those are and what test can indicate higher genetic risk or chemical deficiencies.

Another complaint now is the guilt some will feel about their autistic kid and that they took/gave the kid Tylenol and/or vaccines. Screw that, if there’s some evidence, share it and help people going forward.

you'll never convince me that the shit we spray on crops is safe for repeated human contact. Never ever ever.

I worked at a seed corn company in the late 90's and when I was there Roundup Ready soybeans were the rage, plus the Roundup Ready corn had massive acreage in the grow fields to get the GMO seedcorn ready for launch.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if basically every long tail disease known to man has had an increase in the past 25 years from the sudden prevalence of glyphosate in the food supply. This shit simply wasn't around when we were kids, I mean it was, but the GMO technology wherein they could expose the whole crop to glyphosate didn't exist until the late '80's/early '90's and it took years to roll it out. Basically the longitudinal study is ongoing, but there's basically no way to build a control group.

Interestingly, the kids born in 1992 and 1994 both had incidences of autism at 1:150, but even by 1996, two years after Roundup Ready GMO soy hit the market, the prevalence went to 1:125. For the kids born in 2014, the prevalence is 1:31. Of course any such data would need controls for enhanced autism testing, but the trend is pretty substantially bad. https://www.cdc.gov/autism/data-research/index.html

The uncomfortable truth is you can't just get rid of this shit, either. The whole chain is reliant on it and built for it. And we've added 2 billion people to world population in 25 years. You cannot reverse crop yield gains without killing a shitload of people.

I think villain's hypothesis sounds somewhat reasonable.

We vaccinated all our kids per the pediatric guidelines. I could not have been convinced there was any link to autism. Although now I still lean strongly away from vaccines as the cause, because there hasn’t been any evidence, I also won’t dismiss the idea that if there were evidence it isn’t beyond those in power to hide it from the American people.

I lean now towards some flexibility in the vaccine schedule that allows for a delay especially in that 18month to 2.5 year timeframe.

it's nothing like ordering every american to take an experimental vaccine that has been through 12 weeks of rigorous testing resulting in nearly 200 test results. that's just good science.
