I struggle with this trendy recognition of a Palestine state

Does this mean that Hamas has actually won or is close to it? World governments are punishing Israel with no accountability for Hamas. Why aren't they demanding that Hamas end its war before doing this?

Sure, I realize Hamas wants the elimination of Israel. But even the densest Hamas leader knows that will not happen. Thus, a Palestine state that takes territory away from Israel would be a huge win.

Are these leaders such as Macron and the British PM just posturing and virtue signaling? What do they think will happen next?

One of my own progressive US Senators announced his support for the cause a few days. The long statement is very aggressive and anti-Israel, IMO, and very light on Hamas. "Ethnic cleansing of Gaza" is a pretty strong statement.

Perhaps it was like something Jeff or some people on the other board would write if they were smart enough.

techniques the Israelis mastered have been fully turned against them and the youth who are too dumb to recognize this has in turn applied the Leftist Oppression Matrix to the conflict and the Israelis lose as oppressive "white" colonizers. Hence, there is a sizable amount of young people, particularly women, who are all about globalizing the intifada. I personally think it's absolutely hilarious, but the brain rot is far more pervasive than just appeasing the totally peaceful migrants.
