With the viral story about the CEO and Coldplay, I played the three Coldplay songs I have in Spotify, and I guess others might also have boosted their recent play counts. But Spotify says Coldplay has > 95M "monthly listeners," which means they need no help.

Once upon a time, when someone died, the artist would get a day or two of extra traffic on the radio. Now, over-the-air (non-satellite, non-Internet) radio hardly seems to matter.

Spotify says "Iron Man" has 581,691,581 plays, #2 for Sabbath behind Paranoid. I'll see how that changes. Not exactly obscure.
