My dental hygienist had a similar slip and fall in the middle of the night. Foot slipped off the top step and she did a baseball slide down a half flight of stairs, to the wall on a landing.
Broke her femur and some other bones. Compound fracture.
And she was home alone at the time and her phone wasn’t nearby, so had to drag herself in agony some distance to call for help.

The stories you hear while getting your teeth cleaned. 😁

i had an incident similar. thankfully it was only two steps

that said, i did put my face through the wall. that sucked. I was wearing glasses at the time.

Stairs get a little tricky at times after age 40.

...and the plant at the bottom of the stairs.

I'm more sore on day 2 than day 1...and it's my upper ass area that's most sore...but I realize that's actually just my extreme lower back being tight from the fall.

In reading the rest of that thread, I think I got off really light in comparison.
