In the news conference the Sheriff stated that the Feds had an aircraft with "assets" (Stingray) that identified a phone in use in the area which helped them identify where he was located, probably to within a few feet.
This means they knew who he was from very early on and that there was only a single assailant. All of the law enforcement had photos of the assailant early on in the encounter.

He was a mentally ill violent liberal who had issues with his conservative family who had a restraining order against him.

From multiple news sources I've read, the police had made contact with him 5 times for welfare checks and trespassing calls due to him living out of his car.

His mother did have a protective order against his father who she divorced back in 2015.

Also, neither of his parents live in the area do they? Seems like a transient with mental health issues to me. Your local police indicate they don’t have any criminal record against him.

Maybe he’s got an extensive one outta state but he doesn’t in Idaho.

Edit - No criminal record in Idaho, California or Arizona. Family has spoken out and “can’t understand” how this could happen.

And started shooting fire fighters when they showed up. 2 firefighters dead, 9+ firefighters and cops shot, 5+ civilians shot.

Every law enforcement group within 60 miles + FBI + military have sent resources. Active sniper fire continued at least as of 30 minutes ago.

Hopefully they catch this guy alive so we can skin him.
