…and saw this magazine. I’m assuming you’ve seen it?

Also…two notes:

1. I don’t remember there being soooooo many magazine choices like 20 years ago.

2. Holy shit magazines have gotten expensive. Most were between 15-25 dollars.

Swung by my B&N last night which is about 5 minutes from my house. It didn't have it.

B&N used to carry a "magazine" for Warhammer 40k called Imperium. It wasn't so much a magazine as it was an adevertisement for the game which always included a free miniature(s) and usually some paints and brushes as well. It was a pretty good deal, especially if you could use the minitiatures for your army.

There is a new one out now called Combat Patrol but I do not think it is sold through B&N. Subscription only, at least here in the U.S.

Guns. Have them.

is very little subsidy from advertisers to use to publish, print and distribute the magazines. The selection has increased somewhat due to the prevalence of special run editions that are displayed for up to a year. The constantly churning periodicals are a much smaller part of the business.

The only value left in the magazine business is the goodwill associated with the names of the legacy brands. These have value because propagandists want to use them to push through dubious stories that people will deem credible by virtue of being published in some "reputable" magazine. Boomers ascribe tremendous value to these brands, but your children's generation will assign them no value.
