I can't think of an early enrollee in history who didn't announce his choice at the moment he signed his GIA or LOI. Are you expecting us to find out on January 17th when Owen Carney shows up for his first class?

I think it's as simple as this: they're expecting kids to announce. The kids aren't announcing. They might announce one hour from now, but even then, saying "expect big news tonight" is risky.

If the kid has texted "coach I'm coming", yes, by all means "just got big news!" on Twitter. But putting a timeframe to it.....
