Even in middle school?
No.1 son is in 7th grade and has his first dance coming up.
He decides to ask this girl Olivia and he’s talking about it with his friend Liv on Thursday. Liv informs him that Jetti, a 3rd girl in the girl friend group was really hoping No.1 son would ask her. No.1 son lets me know this and I advise him to just ask Jetti as to not rock the girls friend group. Jetti was his “valentine” last year anyway so there is a bit of a connection there anyway. He tells Liv on Saturday he is going to ask Jetti on Monday. Liv responds that Jetti will be so excited.
Fast forward to today, he asks Jetti to go to the dance with him. She responds that thanks but she’s just going to go with her group of friends. 😜
He shared this at dinner tonight and said he doesn’t care. He will just go with his buddies who are not asking girls. I on the other hand, have the pettiness of Michael Jordan. I told him he cannot accept this slight and that he needs to go back to his original plan and ask Olivia and not bother talking to Jetti ever again. I told him I’d give him 50 bucks if he did it.
He’s planning to ask Olivia tomorrow.
Stay tuned for future episodes.
