Visited a somewhat upscale sushi place for lunch. Waitress asked me if it was my first visit and I said it was. She later brought me a "welcome" plate of sushi that was on the house. When I received my bill, the cost of the welcome plate was listed but then immediately redacted. So I could easily see what it would have cost me. On the basis of that, I strangely felt compelled to tip the server more than I otherwise would, on account of the generous freebie. Which was fine. It was a very nice lunch.
