as i’m sure you recall i pointed out what a monumental failure the new F1 regulations were. of course all the data and sims suggested this years ago but they were pushed through anyway.

the results were so absurd with cars having to coast through high speed corners and accelerator lifted well before braking zones on long straits. this basically takes away all that is great about F1 cars and also eliminates what sets the very best drivers apart from the mid driver

anyway. f1 is scrambling to bury this monstrosity with a switch from 50-50 electric/combustiin to 40-60 next year and then scrapping the electric altogether and moving to V8 by 2031 (maybe 2030 if we are lucky)

this was all completely avoidable. i watched the 1st race then let apple tv expire. i may tune back in 2027
