i recall when NIL started, state law required the recipient to report any and all deals to the university. my recollection is there was a concern this was going to disadvantage illinois by making the deals subject to FOIA, and that the legislation was amended to remove that obligation. i could be recalling incorrectly, but either way, i don't think actual numbers have ever been disclosed.

my guess would be a guy like a jake davis earns almost nothing in terms of actual endorsement opportunities... but nets a few hundred K via a deal with the collective. but that's admittedly a guess. i would be curious in seeing actual numbers as well.
