I initially thought it had promise. And perhaps it still does. But two things have given me pause.
1. I am convinced Oswald acted alone. And while I am open to the possibility that *maybe* he did not, any show which starts from the premise that it unquestionably *had to be* a conspiracy of some sort eventually loses me.
2. The theory that had he not been assassinated, Kennedy would have ended the Vietnam War is preposterous. Oliver Stone has been pushing this mythology for years now. Kennedy was an unrepentant cold warrior who hated communism. And his Catholicism led him to form a strong affinity for Diem and the plight of South Vietnam. There is no good reason to think Kennedy would not have escalated the war similar to what Johnson did.
