I never played the video game. When I purchased the first book in the series many years ago, the guy at the bookstore said something to the effect of "You're probably a big fan of the game.". Nope. Had never heard of it.

Anyway, the first book was really good. The second book lost my interest. Never picked up the third.

Same thing going on with the Netflix series. First season was great. Each successive season has been less and less interesting. I could not finish the third season because I became so bored with it. Two episodes into the fourth season (now without Henry Cavill) and I think I am done.
