Guy really thought all his problems would be solved if he got his dik cut off. So he did. And he really really really thought that now that he was a woman, he'd settle down with a hetro guy, they'd adopt (or maybe the hetro guy already had kids) and, ya know, white picket fence and all that. Long story short: the only people who wanted to get into a relationship with him were homo guys. Same as before.

Long story short: just because these days you can solve your problems "medically", doesn't mean you should. And no, it's not the taxpayers' responsibility at all.
