I watched the entire original series, which is rare for me. I lost interest in the successor "Legacy" focused on Honey Chandler and Bosch's daughter. The Ballard character in the Bosch books that include her or feature her is decent enough. IIRC, the female angle is not as an active feminist and more like, I have my sh*t together, so don't mess with me or underestimate me.
