It only has 139,000 miles on it, but a lot of rust from the 14 years it spent in Illinois. The rust would be lot worse, but I had it "rust proofed" when I bought it and had a Rhino Liner sprayed in. So, the body other than the rockers) is in good shape, but the frame and suspension are showing those 14 years of chemicals to treat the roads.

It works great as a utility truck, but isn't good for taking trips in and I would like a second vehicle that I would feel comfortable doing that in.

As a side note; I recently had the situation with this truck where no matter whether you selected defrost, vents or floor for the A/C the air would only come out of the defrost vents. An online search pointed to the vent door actuator.

It was also displaying a "Service 4WD" message. I researched that and tried all the fixes that are easy; fuses, cleaning the ground to the chassis (see rust)., etc. and it didn't fix the issue.

I was ready to replace the blend door actuator, but since I didn't have a fix for the Service 4WD issue I took it to a local mechanic I have had good experiences with before and let them have a go at it.

They called back when they took a look and said they thought both issues were related to wiring, but they would have to trace it down and they didn't know how long that would take and if I wanted to put a limit on the number of hours. I said 3 hours would be my limit. When they continued they found the culprit was the switch that controls the headlight mode and brightness of the dash lights.

It was way less expensive than I thought it would be and it was done right.
