club happen over the last 2 years. I know first hand how horribly awful this epidemic is.
Kids would be 100% better off if we turned back the clock 50 years to when club sports didn't exist and everyone just played rec YMCA sports until middle school/high school.
Everything about youth club sports has a downside to it: Cost, overzealous parents who are reliving their glory days, overzealous parents who didn't make the team when they were kids, 1 sport specialization (this is the worst imo), horrible no nothing assholes posing as knowledgeable coaches, pay for play, garbage money grab stay and play tournaments, and on and on.
Go join your kid's baseball league board of directors and get back to me in 6 months if you don't believe me. It's a cesspool.
