Back in 2013 I moved to downtown for a couple years (had never lived there). Rahm was Mayor and
still funding downtown investments, serious crime was mostly gang-related in the hoods, and Chicago wasn’t yet the Progressive hell hole it’s trending to where you can get murdered in a car-jacking in Lincoln Park. Previous Message Previous Message And while I think Progressive thinking leads to moral decay, personal ruin, and ultimately the fall of civilization and maybe even eternal hell, the prices of RE in Blue cities over the past 40 years has shown there are massive numbers of crazy Lefties who love that bullshit. Previous Message If I wanted to move I should have done it in 2021. But sfh sakes seem to be following this trend locally. A rate cut would goose this place back around 1.5-1.6 range.
