Receiving The Shine To Give Off A Shine:

Never approach a strange dog or cat from above; the caressing hand must approach from below its eye level for it to feel safe and in control. Likewise, when one is in need, you should never talk down to him as though you were somehow better than he; a wounded animal will snap at even a loving touch.

When you set an old camera on a tripod, keeping it still with the shutter stuck wide open so it doesn’t shut for several minutes, the photograph will only reveal what had never budged throughout the duration of the shutter speed. You can walk around all over the shot and never show up on film. You could flash a light all over the field of focus and only the trail of light will show up on the photograph. To the perspective of the camera, you’re a ghost. This is how the afterlife is as we perceive it.

The similarity here is like attracts like. We are that shutter, stuck wide open, only sensing what is similar to us, or on our same frequency. We are that dog or cat, when help finally comes from above, we perceive it as a threat, challenging our very well being. We need to be still, not react, and the light will show us what to do, and how to act. And how we must act is we must become like the light, giving the very best of ourselves to all those who would be lost in the dark without us. If you know something others don’t, help them out. But don’t tattle, shine a big enough magnifying glass on anyone, he'll get burned.

Wanting something for yourself dims your light, but wanting only to give to others, brightens your light. And becoming the light is how we get recognition from above. The whole reason for want and desire of self gratification is for us to show some restraint; just as the resistance in the filament makes a light bulb glow, our restraint makes us shine, by giving to those in need around us. It’s not right for a champion swimmer to leave the drowning victim behind simply because the drowning man does not belong in deep water. Rather, he takes his ability, and becomes a lifeguard. And everyone is impressed by a lifeguard, especially of the opposite gender. He or she shines.

Having what is known as the shine makes one ultra sensitive. He can pick up feelings and emotions from anyone in the room. He feels the emptiness of the need in someone and looks around the room, and finds who it is, for example. He becomes a psychic Empath. He will always sense when things will happen before they happen. It does not always help, as most things are still unavoidable, but it serves as an example how blind faith is rewarded with true Gnosticism; where one is brought far beyond the point of faith; he knows where others only believe. Angels will reveal themselves to him. And when they conceal themselves, he is tested throughout. For instance, he is tempted to react like he just stubbed his toe, by common everyday troubles. This happens to all of us.

Have you ever wondered why you always have the same problems pop up in your life? When someone has a phobia they cannot overcome, they are constantly confronted by this phobia on an almost daily basis. These are angels sent by God coaxing us over the bridge of this challenge. Whenever one is about to ascend to a higher spiritual level, he is stripped away from all his qualities which attained the very level he’s about to reach, so he may quickly reacquire them as he passes through the threshold of spirituality into the next world, a better world for himself. If he is even aware of crossing through these thresholds, he will perceive them as an irritating resistance to his better qualities. If he can remind himself not to react in anger, he can attain his better qualities once again. And this is how he must ascend to a better world for himself and all his loved ones. When anything is tested, it is stripped of all its strength and power, so it may prove itself as worthy of retaining its strength and power. This is how we grow; this is how we climb the heavens, rung by rung.

Angel means messenger of God, Anger IS this message... Angel... Anger... Your anger is how the Angel is guiding you to the next ascent. You just have to remember not to allow yourself to be ruled by your biochemistry; this would be idolatry, to believe in other forces at work beside God. He is the creator of all these things. Remember? These are the angels I wrestle with on a daily basis—well, I try anyway. Just little irritating things I must learn not to react to. When I master this, I will show you how. Receiving the shine, to give off a shine, this is what it’s all about.

Anger

Our sages have taught, “Whoever gets angry, it is as if he worshipped idols” (Zohar 1:27b). The reason for this is . . . because at the time of his anger, his faith has left him. For were he to believe that what happened to him was G‑d’s doing, he would not be angry at all. For although it is a person possessed of free choice that is cursing him, or striking him, or causing damage to his property—and is accountable according to the laws of man and the laws of heaven for his evil choice—nevertheless, as regards the person harmed, this [incident] was already decreed in heaven, and “G‑d has many agents” [to carry out the decree] . . .
