I’ve said previously that hopefully there will be performance clauses in his contract but any new manager coming in would probably want his own back room staff so you’d be paying up to some degree the contracts of Mellon, Brabin, Scott Davies, Andrew Hodgen, Terry McPhillips & probably Greg Strong.
I think Mellon has lost the plot and hasn’t the faintest idea how to turn our fortunes around.
If this run continues, which I think is highly likely, then the tipping point could come after the home game with Crawley!
If the inevitable happens, I think it likely they would appoint a temporary coach/coaches from within and see if it has the desired effect.
We’ve plenty of experience at the club already so Adams, Philliskirk with maybe help from Donachie could be the way to go?
Whatever transpires I think the chances of Mellon being here post Christmas are practically zero.
I certainly wouldn’t be comfortable giving him another transfer window!
I think we are due a statement any time now about how the board are 100% behind Mellon which is usually the kiss of death isn’t it?
