I’ve generally been a supporter of MM but yesterday felt very Unsworthesque from the team sheet to the performance and the hostile atmosphere within the ground. There’s no doubt that the conditions were difficult but you can’t hide behind the fact that it was crap and everyone there knew it was. Players, managers, coaches can’t fool the spectators - just as MM knows good when he sees it the fans know crap when they see it, especially with no apparent plan B. Not one player brought in over the summer has improved the side to any extent so is it the recruitment or how those players brought in are managed? The results from the end of the good run last spring to yesterday are abysmal overall, surely the board is asking the same questions because any loss of the optimism from the summer will take some recovering.
