Struggling to find an explanation for the sloppy and careless display yesterday. Regardless of team selection and tactics we had easily the better of general play, particularly in 2nd half and ought to have had enough to win (comfortably).

Maybe the team preparation for early (lunchtime) kickoffs is deficient and partly to blame? Yesterday was our 12th lunchtime kickoff under Mellons reign. We have only won ONE of those 12 games - against Port Vale in first home match this season. Over the previous 3 seasons under Mellons reign we had drawn 4 and lost 6 of our 10 lunchtime starts. That’s very definitely relegation form and far worse than our overall record under the current management.
