1982. The supporters club- entered a fans competition in Paris!

They stayed for the week, on a camp site,
Pitched there tents, next to the Frankfurt supporters team.
They got on like an house on fire, boozing every night. We both made to final of the competition!

Germans beat us, on penalties?????
Anyway the Frankfurt lads, said we were the better side , and deserved to win.
A pact was made , they would come over to
Oldham for a game the next season!
And we would go there....
The friendship, as been on going ever since!
