He has played for their current manager previously at Port Vale so he’ll know all about him.

He did OK here, but no better or worse than Woods & Pett.
If we’re aiming to get out of this league we definitely need better.

It’s telling that he’s only signed a 6 month deal at Tranmere, maybe there have lingering doubts about his match fitness?

I wouldn’t be upset to see Pett leave before the seasons opener either. I don’t think he’ll be a starter in too many games this season, because IMO we’re going to be bringing in another midfielder shortly.
