Because strikers who score regularly at this level cost a small fortune. He’s a workhorse/grafter who puts a shift in so will be good for the press.
We still need squad players, especially if we’re planning on mounting a promotion challenge.

We’ve only got Fondop as an out ‘n’ out striker. Garner is probably leaving, Stevens and Drummond are essentially wide players and there are still question marks as to what we’re doing with Kavanagh!

Nevitt didn’t get too much game time at Gillingham where after topping the league early doors they fell off a cliff and he went out on loan to Cambridge.

Perhaps he needs a settled environment? Mellon has worked with him before so maybe he knows what he’s getting?

You can never have too many strikers and we still need a marquee signing, so depending on what we’re doing with Garner & Kavanagh I’m expecting at least one and possibly 2 more coming in.
