Last night Palace beat Rayo and we saw a classic case of the Rayo goal keeper shovelling what seemed a very manageable shot into the path of a striker for him to tap the ball into the net for the Palace winning goal.
We see this mistake happen every season at all levels so coaches must train keepers to shovel the ball away, and yet i rarely saw this many years ago.
Keepers would try to catch a shot or palm it around the post, which is very different.
Could that keeper last night have caught that shot?
