We were probably there around the same time BE as I remember seeing Stainrod outside a house up the hill ( Tim Bobbin? ) by the Primary School. In 1988 I carried on my missionary work Wokingham Berkshire then onto Lizard Cornwall. I could never get the natives in Rochdale to say goal instead of Gaul so I failed there 😀. Cornwall is great but it’s a bit pagan so I don’t dare push my luck here. Goarl it is! Best to blend in
