All food for thought Judge and good questions. Too many to answer for me but standouts for me has to be Drummond, what a real gem he’s tuning out to be. Fondop as reliable has ever.
Payne not a fans favourite, but very highly rated by me. If we could sign him it would be a no brainer.
Can we squeeze another season out of Manny and Daniels possibly (will struggle in league one if we manage to get there.
Here’s the crunch though, Conlon is nearing the end of his career and may struggle for fitness next year. Pett has been steady for the most but is not getting any younger and Woods okay only just, so two or three midfielders required.
As much as I love him GN9 will struggle in league 1 I think.
IMO league 1 is a huge step up, we would need to invest extremely carefully to stabilise.
Sutton will not cope with the pace in league 1, sorry if it sounds harsh because he’s come through the youth and he’s Oldham through and through and a very likeable lad, but the truth is the higher the league the quicker the players. That’s just not physically it’s speed of thought too.
The change of the club in the time that Frank has been here has been remarkable.
At last we have our club back and well on our way to regaining our respectabilty.
