Goram was the best I’ve ever seen with one on ones, his judgement whether he should come or stay was exceptional. He would make his mind up to commit and smother the ball with his whole body. He had that off to a tee.
Not big in stature but a huge heart.
Close run thing for me between Goram and David Best.
As someone mentioned in an earlier post we have had some exceptional keepers over the years.
Harry Dowd was a pure entertainer and the way he used to dribble past the opposition was nerve wracking but very rarely did he cock it up.
