Agreed Andrew, Payne is another version of Richard Butcher (RIP), always looks busy but does absolutely nothing. The big disappointment for me was Garner reverting to type. He made no attempt to stop the first goal, gave away the ball cheaply in a bad area for their third goal and generally dived for the rest of the game. Good early goal, dominated for 15 minutes without scoring then couldn’t defend two soft free kicks. Very disappointing all round. Also I reckon Daniels is due a rest.
It didn’t bode well for me when I saw that “look at me” Drysdale was the ref, I reckon he got off lightly from Roy.
The issue with early kick offs is that you have too much time on your hands in the afternoon!
