Good point ..in the modern days of strength and conditioning coaches ..diet .. better playing surfaces ..equipment .. etc ..players do seem to suffer more injury ..or is it that players back “ in the day “ never got payed if they didn’t play ? Therefore hiding injury ? Or a quick injection on the knee and you’ll be fine ..giving you chronic arthritis years later ..or a wee dram at half time and you’ll be fine 😀 … Bert trautman playing with a broken neck ..gawd ..a fingernail and they’d be off now !!
