Yep 55, yet Mellon keeps signing multitudes of midfielders when most of the time it gets bypassed anyway, where is the logic in that? I’m not advocating playing out to the fullbacks or centre backs at every opportunity but the midfielders should be capable of receiving the ball facing their own goal. Seems to me that the footballers are brain washed into doing everything exactly as the coach/manager says. For me the beauty of the game is the inventiveness of players, and they’re being stifled at the majority of clubs right now.🤷🏻‍♂️💙
