Yes, with young Mellon along with one or two other quality players (another striker and a genuinely creative midfielder) playing football we could go very close 55. We are stuck with a few players that we can’t unload at the moment though. Why Mellon and the scouts thought Quigley and Drummond would be good enough for league two I don’t understand. What chance would they have in league one if a miracle was to happen?
Somehow we need to keep an eye on the future and the academy bodes well. I just feel the scouting team and some of the players we have signed are not as good as they should be.
