Who are you actually blaming for Drummond and Quigley not being good enough and why? I would imagine if they are picked they do their best.
Mellon has what he has until January. If they, as you believe, aren't good enough, it's too bad.
I don't believe they are simply or as you believe all the forwards are bad players. You aren't overly enamoured by Ogle, but he's scored 3. He's a full back!
Where do you put the ultimate blame for us not winning in six? If you go back to January the first. We went on a similar run of poor results. Because we played the way we are now. Then we played two teams in the play offs and blew them away.
On Saturday we had 60% of the possession. More shots. We hit the post twice. And possibly the keeper palmed on onto the bar. We basically had more of everything. But Shrewsbury, as have many other teams against us, scored first. We still have the lowest concession rate in the league. So we end up chasing the game. The opposition defences tighten up to defend their lead. It's more difficult to score, and you have to be careful not to concede a second.
I think the problem is Mellon's tactics. This play not to lose approach. It doesn't work, and go one down it stifles us even more. I wouldn't condemn the players at the moment. I think they may come good enough if the tactics changed. If you follow. I unfortunately have to offer you Reid as an example, forget the politics. We are talking strikers scoring. and what he did when he went on loan. He couldn't score for us, yet at Wealdstone. He did, regularly. He I believe has three at Hartlepool. Why didn't he score in a Mellon coached team?
I just don't think it's as black and white as you do. And sorry for going on.
