I think and hope your right gr, but unless Mellon changes tack it will be touch and go. Accepting we have an average budget for this league Mellon should be very careful with what he has to spend.
I also accept that we had a late finish to the season and that could have impacted on signings in that we didn’t know what our budget would be for the coming season.
He must stop the bootball for the sake of the fans and the team. If we are being honest we were lucky last season, you can’t rely on luck alone.
When the window opens he has to be very very sure he spends what he has left really wisely if they are to be permanent positions and equally careful if they come on loan.
The bottom line is I’m not sure he knows another way to play. We are a team built with the emphasis on defending.
Lowest scorers in the league says it all for me.
