Seems that he hasn’t been charged with anything in Spain or UK so not going to be serving time, FA won’t get involved for bringing game into disrepute (didn’t for McBurney a few years ago so can’t see why they would for this), and Latics aren’t going to suspend him - they will either sack him for gross misconduct or keep him.

Can see that the club might have thought that they had planned on keeping Harratt and may not now, so have chosen to keep Garner as a stop gap.
